One of the best movies of 2018 hands down. Gorgeous, haunting, purposeful, ghastly and most of all refreshing. Horror has become a joke of a genre basically. Films like this are salvage it. I just watched it and Im ready to watch it again. P.S Tilda Swinton is a force to be reckoned with. I was sceptical at first but this looks friggin' gorgeous. Saw Alita: Battle Angel the first time, was so impressed and couldnt stop talking about it. Saw it a second time tonight and WOW. It was even better! Going to see it a third time tomorrow for sure since this is now my favorite movie of all time. My number 1 favorite. This film is such a masterpiece. Im praying it gets sequels because this movie made such an impact on my life! Everything about it is just flawless and special! 10/10, 5 stars. 100. 💯. Greatest movie ever. This was just too heavy of a flick for my tastes. I came here because I remembered I saved it a year ago to watch when I had time. Also Ito looks a lot like Egon Spengler from The Real Ghostbusters and the Cyborg at 45:29 looks like Yoshimitsu from Tekken. Cyber Mermaid is a gorgeous song too. The movie is already 1 year old! I still like it a lot despite the script being stuffed with so much material Rosa Salazar is spectacular in the lead and the action is really cool too Very glad people still want a sequel to happen. This is a amnesiac teenage cyborg's coming of age story, too juvenile. It has potential though. I am okay with there not being a concrete story, it keeps going here and there. However, the characters are too bland and well... juvenile. So is the teenage love. The dialogue is so damn underwhelming.
The visual effects are good though. The cast itself is decent. That's the only thing going good for this movie. Other than that, it's a bore fest.

Come I'm just finding out about this alita ? because I'm intrigued. If you enjoy a sci-fi anime-like movie, this is it. This movie is basically a origin story based on its original anime, it has a very strong anime feel to it, the designs are amazing, the places, people... All masterfully CGI-ed. The acting is solid. The story could be a bit slow at first where thats to be accepted as it was a manga, but every moment feels magical and badass! If you just want a good time with some awesome effects and action, then watch this movie.
